The Digital Investigations Conference (DIC) made a remarkable debut in Munich last week, marking its first edition in this city with tremendous success. The event provided an unparalleled platform for computer forensics, eDiscovery, and OSINT professionals, as well as manufacturers offering products in digital investigations. Following successful events in Zurich and Vienna, this year's Munich conference focused on addressing the specific needs of corporations within the industry.
This year's lineup included over 14 exhibitors, among which Reveal stood out with the introduction of its groundbreaking generative AI search tool, Ask.
With over 80 specialists from Germany and nearby countries in attendance, the event featured presentations and workshops designed to enhance professional expertise and provide insights into the latest eDiscovery solutions.
One of the event's highlights was the workshop "Demystifying GenAI for eDiscovery: A Workshop on AI-powered Discovery Solutions". This hands-on session provided participants with a deep dive into Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) and its revolutionary impact on eDiscovery processes. Through interactive sessions and real-world case studies, attendees discovered how GenAI can:
At the heart of DIC Munich 2024, Reveal made a significant impact with the introduction of its cutting-edge generative AI search tool, Ask. Designed to elevate the practice of eDiscovery, Ask brings a revolutionary approach to how legal professionals interact with their eDiscovery platform at every stage of the process.
Ask allows users to express their searches in everyday language, eliminating the need to guess effective keywords, formulate complex Boolean searches, or have reviewers sift through vast amounts of documents. Ask is designed to understand natural language and the way questions are phrased, enabling a more intuitive search experience.
Breakthrough Generative AI Search Results
Leveraging AI-powered search capabilities, Ask surpasses previous generation tools by generating concise, human-readable summaries. This innovation helps case teams efficiently evaluate the relevance and effectiveness of their inquiries, delivering precise and targeted results.
Ask returns targeted results based on clear, targeted questions and instructions. It works only with the data you choose, ranking documents, summarizing key responsive content, and delivering crisp, natural language answers.
Ask not only finds answers but also shows where those answers come from. With each response, Ask provides a list of source documents with links and snippets of text used to prepare its response, and you can download a complete list of questions, answers, sources, and more at any time during your session.
Ask is an integral part of the Reveal platform, not a separate application or add-on. Users can seamlessly navigate between Ask and other features within Reveal, combining Ask with capabilities such as reusable AI models and saving Ask’s results for future searches.
You control the data Ask uses for its responses. Ask allows you to query your entire database for broad overviews and quick insights without worrying that it will turn to information outside your dataset, and you can narrow your searches with keywords for even more targeted results.
